Well this has been another unusual year! We had snow in October then the temps rose well above normal, melting all the snow and producing Spring like weather. It was great for finishing up some yard work, splitting wood and hanging Christmas lights, but it definitely didn't look like northern Minnesota in the winter.
Today is Wed., Dec. 6th and Turtle Lake is still open. On Monday we actually had a thunderstorm and rain - yes rain - followed by sleet and then a little snow. It continued to snow yesterday and all through the night so we woke up this morning to a gorgeous Winter Wonderland.
I loved the warm weather but I have to admit, I missed the beauty of the falling snow. And what would the Holidays be without snow? We've had a White Christmas every year since we moved here and I was getting a little worried that this year may be the exception, but... 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!"
I think winter has arrived and is here to stay. So from our beautiful little Winter Wonderland, we're wishing all of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A BLESSED NEW YEAR!!!
